- •Inspect the tool for any visible damage or defects
- •Read the manufacturer's instructions and warnings
- •Check that all safety guards are in place and functional
- •Ensure you have the proper PPE for the specific tool
- •Verify the tool is appropriate for your intended task
- •Check power cords and plugs for any damage
Safe Operating Practices
Follow these guidelines while using rented tools.
- •Never disable or remove safety features
- •Keep work area clean and well-lit
- •Maintain proper footing and balance at all times
- •Use the right tool for the job - don't improvise
- •Keep bystanders at a safe distance
- •Never operate tools while fatigued or under the influence
- •Unplug tools when changing accessories or performing maintenance
Emergency Procedures
What to do if an accident or injury occurs.
- •Stop work immediately and assess the situation
- •For serious injuries, call emergency services (999)
- •Provide first aid if trained and it's safe to do so
- •Report the incident to the tool owner and Handi support
- •Document the incident with photos if possible
- •Seek medical attention even for minor injuries
- •File an insurance claim if applicable
